Origins 04 - House Party at Raja Mansion

This set is part of my Origins series, where I look back at the music, places, and stories that shaped my journey as a DJ.

Raja Mansion probably holds more memories for me than just about anywhere else in Bangkok. An apartment building with spacious units and a rooftop that's perfect to watch the sun rise from, it represents a typically effective Bangkok space, and how it assists the flow of social life.

Besides living at Raja Mansion myself, tons of friends had units there at some point as well, and we shared many, many house parties - the perfect place to learn how to DJ, and the perfect crowd to learn how to perform for.

This set takes me back to those impromptu nights, back from the club, keeping the party going with whoever was down to get on the decks, and staying awake so we could sneak up to the roof and watch the sun rise.

Sometimes you don’t know you’re living the good old days until later.
